Larry Rulison, Times Union Reporter, wrote that "New York state sued the Norlite shale aggregate plant in Cohoes on Wednesday, accusing the company of breaking state laws and failing to protect the health and safety of neighboring residents driven from their homes by dust from its operations. I'm surprised there was a steam-powered vessel built in America in the 1960s! Especially since Lac Du Saint Sacrament was built 20 years later as an internal combustion vessel.

It's great for throwing wild parties, but if you're hosting a large wedding, the Saint Sacrement is just better.

WOW - so much great info. This task was an amazing accomplishment. We enjoy the lake so much today and life here, but my heart hurts for those who lost their homes and gave up so much for those in the future. My thanks to those who made this sacrifice and to those who produced this historic video.

What a joke! Update 1: I was told that my filling out reviews is unacceptable and will be getting a cease and desist. Way to try and stifle people all because you don't have your stuff together. Have your attorney contact me. You have my information. Be happy to discuss this with him! Once I get the cease and desist I will post it on here. Also they blast you on Facebook then realize it and don't apologize but take the comments down. Easy to get a 4.9/5 when your control the story and only offer or allow for one side of it. Update 2: funny how once you get it in the mail it gets here the same day. Here is the shipping proof. Argue with that! You were to busy and didn't get it in the mail and blamed it on me and logistics (aka lazy and disorganized). You refunded my money though didn't you? Thought you might. I've never-ever stolen anything in 60 years of living....yet STILL got followed by staff at the steamboat company's gift shop 2 years ago with the woman breathing down my neck, with an entitled attitude, and I was basically treated like dirt for absolutely no reason. I may not dress like a rich tourist, but I graduated Adirondack with honors, don't drink, don't party, never did drugs...and unlike their staff, I HAVE MANNERS. This is one local who'll NEVER ride their boats again! Garbage in, garbage out.
